Let’s Start in Austin

Three apartments, one townhome, and four years in Seattle later, we moved to Austin. When asked, I tend to give the same three reasons for the move: weather, water (lakes), and closer proximity to family. While all three of these reasons are objectively true, the overall reason is indefinable. It’s the same reason I chose to paint our new bedroom sage green instead of dusty blue. After seeing the two side by side, one just felt more right.

marble + mae is a space to share some of these moments as we design our Austin home. I don’t have a degree in interior design or any formal styling training. I’m just a girl, wandering the aisles of Target and Home Depot, choosing what feels most right to her.
